Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the things people ask most. If yours is not here, get in touch.

Booking

How do I book a flight?

Search with your route, dates and travellers, then choose a fare. You enter each passenger's details, add any extras the airline offers, check the summary and pay.

Your booking is confirmed once the airline has issued your ticket. We then email your confirmation and itinerary.

Who issues my ticket?

The airline does. We act as a booking agent: we pass your booking to the airline and send you its booking reference. You can use that reference on the airline's own website to check in and to see your flight.

How should I enter passenger names?

Exactly as they appear on each passenger's passport. Airlines can refuse boarding if the name on the ticket does not match, and correcting a name after booking is not always possible and may carry an airline fee.

Do I need to enter passport details?

Only when the airline requires them for the flight you choose. If it does, the passenger form will ask for them. If it does not, we do not collect them.

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, and any visa you need, for your journey.

Can I book for children and infants?

Yes. Add each child's age when you search, because airlines price by age. Children are aged 2 to 11. Infants are under 2 on the day of travel and sit on an adult's lap, so each infant needs their own adult. We can book up to nine travellers at once.

Payments

How can I pay?

By debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored on our systems.

When is my card charged?

When you pay, your bank places a hold for the amount. We take the payment only after the airline has confirmed your booking.

If the booking cannot be completed, the hold is released and you are not charged. How quickly the released amount shows in your account depends on your bank.

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. The price includes the fare, taxes and any fee of ours, and you see a full breakdown before you pay. Prices are in pounds sterling.

Fares can change while you are booking. If the airline's price changes before your booking is confirmed, we stop and show you the new price. You are never charged more without agreeing to it.

Can I pay a deposit or pay later?

No. Flights are paid for in full at the time of booking, because that is when the airline issues the ticket.

Baggage

How do I know what baggage is included?

Every fare in the search results shows the cabin bags and checked bags included for each passenger. Allowances are set by the airline and can differ between fares on the same flight, and between the outbound and return flights.

Can I add extra bags?

Where the airline sells extra checked bags for your fare, you can add them during checkout. The bags, weights and prices come from the airline for your specific flight.

If an airline does not offer extra bags through us for a flight, you may still be able to add them on the airline's website using your booking reference.

What size and weight can my bags be?

Size and weight limits are set by each airline and can vary by fare and route. Where the airline tells us the weight limit for a bag, we show it. For exact dimensions, and for sports equipment or musical instruments, check the airline's baggage page before you travel.

Changes & cancellations

Can I cancel my booking?

You can ask to cancel through Manage Booking. Whether you get money back depends on the airline's rules for your fare, which are shown before you book.

We check with the airline what it will refund and tell you before you confirm. We charge an administration fee of £9.99 per booking for handling a cancellation, in addition to any airline charge.

Can I change my dates or flights?

It depends on the fare. Some fares allow changes for an airline fee plus any difference in price, and some do not allow changes at all. Each fare shows its rule before you book.

Send a change request through Manage Booking and we will come back to you with what the airline allows and what it costs. We charge an administration fee of £9.99 per booking for handling a change, in addition to any airline charge and fare difference.

How long does a refund take?

A refund is paid to the card you used. We send it once the airline has returned the money to us, and the time that takes varies by airline. After we send it, your bank decides how quickly it appears in your account.

What if the airline changes or cancels my flight?

If the airline tells us about a change to your flight, we email you. When an airline cancels a flight or changes it significantly, you usually have a choice between another flight and a refund from the airline. You may also have rights to care and compensation under air passenger rights law, which you claim from the airline.

Manage Booking

How do I find my booking?

Go to Manage Booking and enter your booking reference and the email address used for the booking. We email a one-time code to that address to confirm it is you. There is no account or password to remember.

What can I do in Manage Booking?

View your itinerary and passengers, download your itinerary and receipt, and send a request to change or cancel. Where the airline allows it, you can also add bags after booking.

I did not receive my confirmation email. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, contact us with the name and email address used for the booking and we will send it again.

How do I check in?

Check in with the airline, on its website or app or at the airport, using the airline booking reference in your confirmation email. Online check-in times differ by airline.
